Chessshipping: Those Damn Traits1. That Damn Ego
Sometimes, Hilda wondered how much of an ego the cheerful boy next to her had. Sure he was the champion, but hadn't she defeated Alder too? She was only a second late, beaten only by Hilbert, who had crashed into her. He didn't even apologize for that; that bastard. But when Alder's Volcarona finally fell, she was swept up in sweaty arms and kissed on the cheek by the energetic male, who was holding her close to him.
"Did you see that?! I finally did it!" He whooped for joy, letting the girl feel jealous. She wanted to become the Champion, also.
But, she supposed, that smile on Hilbert's face when she told him she was proud of him made it up.
But she still hated that ego. She smirked. Time to beat the crap out of him, huh?
Taking out her Pokeball, she stared at her boyfriend who was smirking in front of her. Feeling her cheeks redden, she quickly turned away. He really was handsome, wasn't he? That smirk just made his eyes look even brighter.
